ok thank, I have a line on 3- 2018 Volvo D-4s for 20k with 3500 hours. legs and controls but I'm not so sure on how much actual fuel savings I would get compared to the outboards/ maintenance.

Hi I am rebuilding a 370 allwest and have purchased used 300 HP twin Yamahas but with super high fuel prices I'm wondering if I could get away with a Volvo d4 320 hp single 4 cylinder diesel since I would load the boat up pretty good.

I bought used twin 300 outboards for an Allwest I'm rebuilding but with fuel costs I'm wondering if I could get away with a single 320 hp Volvo diesel inboard and sell the twin outboards before I go through the trouble of podding it. I was hoping to see how yours...

hi awsome boat, I'm doing a full rebuild right now on my allwest and want to pod it like you have done, how does it preform and is there a reason the pod is not lined up at the bottom? I assume to reduce rear flotation since apparently they are bow heavy?

when purchacing I figured there would be some rot as I brought a moisture meter and some some slight staining but very little. If you ever want to buy an Alwest make sure to spend the time and tell the owner that you will be taking off the inside aluminum window trims that sandwiches the frame, this...

demo complete wit a lot more rot than expected. reframe is almost complete with Douglas fur, next step will be rewire, spray foam and re sheet the exterior with 1/8' aluminum instead of wood. parting out the Volvo DP legs and motors.

Hi I was looking at both a 37 alcan and allwest. when you look at the alcan the floor level where you drive is lower than that of the allwest, not did they sink the allwest lower level deeper in the bow or raise the cab and floor in the allwest. Im pretty sure its a raised cab but I'm going buy pict...
