Campbellford on the Trent

Hey David, (and anyone else traveling on the Trent/Severn)
On the way up the Trent be sure to plan a stop in Campbellford and plan to arrive with the least amount of fuel as possible. It's the only place on the system where you can fuel up at street prices. There are two spots in town but my favourite is the Esso station where you get to stay free for the night if you top up. It doesn't matter how much gas you get as long as you fill your tanks, but at these prices you should try to arrive on fumes. Overnight docking includes hydro hook-up and access to the stations washrooms.
Take all the money you save on fuel and spend it here:
1 - The Stinking Rose Pub - great atmosphere, people and really great beers, some brewed locally.
2 - Capers Restaurant - an excellent choice for dinner
3 - Doohers Bakery - the most decadent cream filled donuts you'll ever eat

Everything is very close together with grocery and LCBO within very shorts walks.
