Previous Events To the best of my knowledge the first ever rendezvous of these boats was held in 2007, well over 30 years after the last Alcan, Alwest, Alloy boat was made.. The 2007 rendezvous was held in Gananoque, Ontario. It attracted three boats plus one crew by road. We didn't have much action planned, other that a meal or two together, but we declared the event a success nonetheless. A write-up of the event can be found here. The 2008 rendezvous was again held in Gananoque, Ontario. The event was rather hastily pulled together, but it managed to grow to include four boats and three crews arriving by road. This year we included a cruise through the Thousand Islands and a dinner at anchor in the islands. Definitely a big success. A write-up of the event can be found here. The 2009 rendezvous was held at Fraser Park Marina in Trenton. The boat count was back to three, but we had the crews of another 10 boats arrive by road, including one all the way from the left coast. |
